  1. Ours in the Okanagan are hanging around the choke cherries these days. This will continue all winter, as they swoop from scattered bush to scattered bush up the slope, then swoop all the way back down. And again. And again.

They, like so many of us, seem to work their days with beautiful contours and rhythms – we had a pair that were working our locust trees and feeders and viburnums for a good while before the daily path shifted… Sure they’ll be back with the contour of the seasons…. This one was in old growth oak forest lands with lots of nearby wetland edges… beautiful contours you are witness to in Okanagan country – :)
